The Dell XPS 13 9310 (11th-gen Tiger Lake) and 9315 (12th-gen Alder Lake U-series) are the last two XPS 13 generations that shipped without the divisive haptic touchpad and touch-only function-row of the XPS 13 Plus. Screen type and OLED burn-in
FHD+ (1920x1200) non-touch = baseline. FHD+ touch = +Rs. 3,000-5,000. UHD+ touch = +Rs. 8,000-12,000 IF no coating wear. UHD+ OLED with burn-in (very common on units used with Windows taskbar) = -Rs. 20,000-30,000 from the OLED premium price.

Chassis dents on aluminum edges
The machined aluminum XPS chassis shows dents dramatically, especially at corners and the front lip. Clean chassis = full price, dented corner = -Rs. 5,000-8,000, cracked bottom cover = Rs. 15,000-20,000 replacement.
Keyboard and haptic issues
9310/9315 use a normal keyboard (not haptic). Any dead key or spill damage = Rs. 8,000-12,000 keyboard replacement (they are integrated with the top case).
Thunderbolt 4 ports (both)
9310/9315 have 2x TB4 only, no USB-A, no SD card. Both ports must charge and pass full TB4 speeds. Dead TB4 = -Rs. 10,000-14,000 (also affects charging).

FAQ
The OLED screen looks fine to me but has faint burn-in on grey, does it matter?
Yes, any burn-in that shows on a solid colour is visible to buyers. Expect Rs. 15,000-25,000 off the OLED premium range. If the burn-in is severe (visible on white), the OLED becomes a liability and it sells at or below the FHD+ range.
Can I upgrade the RAM in a 9310 or 9315?
No, RAM is soldered on both. What you have is what you sell. This is why 8GB configs resell for so much less than 16GB and 32GB.
My XPS 13 has no dents but the aluminum edge has small nicks along the front, how bad?
Front-edge nicks are extremely common on XPS from resting palms. -Rs. 3,000-5,000 vs a mint unit. Very few XPS 13s reach us with perfect edges after 2+ years of use.
