How it works

Pick. See. Order. Done in under 2 minutes.

  1. 01

    Pick your laptop model

Type your laptop model in the search field (e.g. 'ThinkPad T480', 'EliteBook 840 G6') or scroll the dropdown. Don't see yours? Any generic DDR4/DDR5 option covers most 2016-2024 laptops.

  2. 02

Note your current RAM and storage

Select your current RAM (check in Windows Settings → System → About) and current storage size. This helps the advisor recommend the most useful upgrade tier.

  3. 03

    Review the recommended upgrades

The advisor pulls real in-stock RAM sticks and SSDs from our live catalogue, matched to your laptop's memory generation (DDR3/DDR4/DDR5) and SSD interface (NVMe M.2 or SATA 2.5″). Prices reflect today's Hafeez Center stock.

  4. 04

Tap 'Order via WhatsApp' to place the order

One tap opens WhatsApp with your laptop model and chosen upgrade pre-filled. Our specialist at Shop 66A, 3rd Floor, Hafeez Center confirms availability, arranges everything with you on WhatsApp, and ships same-day or you pick up in person.

Common questions

Laptop upgrade FAQ

How do I know which RAM type (DDR3/DDR4/DDR5) my laptop uses?

The fastest way is the free CPU-Z tool (cpuid.com/cpu-z) — run it and check the 'Memory' tab for 'Type'. Alternatively, open Windows Task Manager → Performance → Memory and look at the top-right corner. DDR3 laptops are typically pre-2016 (4th-gen Intel or earlier), DDR4 is most common 2016-2022, and DDR5 appears in 12th-gen Intel and Ryzen 6000+ laptops from 2022 onwards.

Can I add more RAM to my laptop without replacing the existing stick?

If your laptop has two SO-DIMM slots (most business laptops like ThinkPad T-series, EliteBook 8xx series, Latitude 7xxx do), you can add a second stick to reach dual-channel speeds — this is the cheapest upgrade path. If there's only one slot, you swap the existing stick for a larger one. Some ultra-thin laptops (XPS 13, Surface Laptop, ZenBook) solder all RAM and cannot be upgraded — our advisor flags those.

Will a new SSD work in my older laptop if I only have a SATA port?

Yes — a 2.5″ SATA SSD is the correct upgrade for any laptop with a traditional HDD bay and no M.2 slot. SATA SSDs are compatible with every SATA HDD bay (2.5″ 7 mm or 9.5 mm) and deliver 500+ MB/s sequential reads — typically 4-8× faster than the 80-120 MB/s of a typical HDD. We stock Crucial MX500, Kingston A400, and Samsung 870 EVO in 500 GB – 2 TB.

What is NVMe / M.2 and how is it different from SATA SSD?

M.2 is the physical slot form factor (a slim rectangular connector inside the laptop). NVMe (Non-Volatile Memory Express) is the protocol that runs over PCIe lanes inside that slot. NVMe SSDs deliver 3,000-7,500 MB/s vs. 500-560 MB/s for SATA — 6-15× faster for large file transfers and app loading. Most laptops from 2017 onwards have at least one M.2 slot; whether it supports NVMe PCIe or only SATA depends on the laptop — our advisor and product listings clarify this.

Do you install the RAM or SSD, or is it just the part?

We sell the part. Installing laptop RAM and a standard M.2 or 2.5″ SSD is a 5-10 minute job — remove the bottom panel, seat the stick or SSD, reseat the panel. Our WhatsApp specialist can walk you through it with a photo or video. If you're in Lahore, bring the laptop to our Hafeez Center shop (Shop 66A, 3rd Floor) and our tech installs it for free with any part purchase.

How is data migrated when I install a new SSD?

If you're replacing the existing drive, you need to clone it first (free tools: Macrium Reflect for Windows, Carbon Copy Cloner for Mac) or do a fresh OS install. If you're adding a second drive (via the spare 2.5″ bay), no migration is needed — it appears as a new empty volume. WhatsApp 0314 4000131 and we'll guide you through the right approach for your specific setup.

Not sure which upgrade fits your laptop?

WhatsApp 0314 4000131 with the model name or a photo of the laptop label. Our tech at Hafeez Center will tell you the exact part, confirm in-stock availability, and quote the installed price — usually within 15 minutes during shop hours (Mon-Sat 10 AM – 10 PM).
