Laptop Screen Replacement in Lahore - Same-Day for Most Models
Screen replacement is the most common physical repair we do - roughly one in three walk-ins. The typical customer is a student or professional whose laptop closed on a pen, took a bag knock, or was dropped from the sofa. Sometimes the outer glass is intact and only the internal panel is dark or has an ink-blot spread from pressure - that still needs a full panel change on almost every non-touch laptop, because the panel and the LCD glass are laminated as one unit.
There is no honest repair-versus-replace trap here: if the laptop otherwise works, screen replacement almost always makes sense. What matters is choosing the right panel grade. We stock A-grade original panels (same part number as the OEM used) at Hafeez Center and can also source B-grade pulls from parted-out laptops for older machines where budget matters more than perfect uniformity. We tell you which grade we are quoting before you agree.

How we diagnose it
First we confirm the fault is the panel and not the cable or the GPU - we plug an external monitor to rule out the graphics chip, then wiggle-test the LVDS/eDP cable at the hinge. If the panel itself is bad we read the exact panel part number off the back (something like NV156FHM-N48 or LP156WFC), which tells us resolution, refresh rate, connector, and matte-versus-glossy. Ordering the wrong sub-variant is the number one reason a screen job fails - we do not skip this step even when the model is common.

Honest success expectations
Screen replacement is one of the highest-success repairs we do - typically 95 percent-plus on first fit when we have the correct panel part number. The rare failures come from panel sub-variant mismatches (wrong connector orientation) or from hinge damage discovered mid-repair that also needs attention. We do not proceed if we are not confident about the panel match - it is not worth opening your laptop twice.
What we cannot fix
- × Loose glass replacement on MacBook Retina models (2012 onwards) - the panel is laminated to the lid, we replace the assembly not the glass
- × Cracks on laptops where the top lid is also structurally deformed and cannot hold a new panel flat
- × Some very new (last 6 months released) or very obscure models where the panel is not yet available in the Pakistan parts market - we tell you honestly and quote import lead time
- × Panels on models where the customer wants a spec upgrade the original hardware does not support (adding touch to a non-touch model, going FHD to 4K where the GPU/cable does not support it)
Warranty on the repair
30-day workmanship warranty in writing on the panel and the fitting. If the panel develops dead pixels, backlight failure, or ghosting in that period we replace it free. Physical damage after fitting (new drop, closed on object) is not covered - we cannot control what happens once the laptop leaves the shop.

FAQ
Can you fix a cracked screen without full replacement?
Honestly no, not on modern laptops. The glass and the LCD panel are a single laminated unit on almost everything sold in the last 8 years. Attempts to only replace the outer glass end up with adhesive bubbles, dust ingress, and colour issues within weeks. We do not offer it.
What is the difference between an A-grade and a B-grade panel?
A-grade is a new panel with the same original part number and no dead pixels. B-grade is a working pull from another laptop - may have 1-2 dead pixels, slight backlight non-uniformity, but works fine and costs 30-40 percent less. We only offer B-grade if you ask, and never on customer machines under warranty from us.
How long does the actual fitting take?
About 40-90 minutes bench time depending on model. If the panel is in stock, drop-off in the morning means pick-up before evening.
Can I bring my own panel that I ordered from Daraz or AliExpress?
Yes but we only warranty the fitting labour (Rs. 2,500-4,500), not the panel itself. Most cheap online panels are pulls of unknown history - we have seen too many fail within a month, so we prefer to source ourselves.
My screen just started flickering on its own - does that mean panel replacement?
Not always. Flicker that changes with hinge angle is usually the cable, which is a Rs. 2,500-5,500 fix. Solid flicker that is present at all angles usually is the panel. Free diagnostic tells us which.
Do you replace MacBook screens?
Yes. On 2012-2015 MacBook Pros we can sometimes do panel-only replacement. On 2016-onwards Retina models it is a full display assembly job - more expensive but genuine parts and factory-original result.
