Which laptops can use this card?
Most laptops from 2016 onwards have an M.2 2230 wireless slot keyed for E-keying — that's what this card plugs into. Half-Mini PCIe is used in older 2010-2016 laptops. Tested in Dell Latitude 7490, HP EliteBook 840 G6, Lenovo ThinkPad T480 and Asus ROG Strix G15. Some HP/Lenovo BIOS implementations whitelist specific cards — WhatsApp 0314 4000131 with your model before ordering. See laptop parts catalogue for related parts.
What you gain from a WiFi 5 upgrade
- Speed: on a WiFi 5 router, real-world throughput jumps from 200-300 Mbps to 600-800 Mbps, plenty for 4K streaming and fast downloads.
- Lower latency: gaming and video calls feel more responsive (1-3 ms instead of 8-15 ms).
- Bluetooth 4.1: connect wireless mice, keyboards, and headphones without a dongle.
- Better range: Killer's advanced signal processing improves stability in crowded Wi-Fi environments.
- MU-MIMO: the laptop competes less for airtime with other devices on the same network.
HP / Lenovo whitelist warning
Older HP EliteBook / ProBook and some Lenovo ThinkPad models maintain a BIOS whitelist that only accepts OEM-approved wireless cards. If your laptop falls into that category, you'll see a "104-Unsupported wireless" error on boot. We carry whitelist-bypassed cards or can flash a modded BIOS for affected models — bring the laptop in so we can check before purchase.
Real-world performance and who needs this card
This card is ideal if you have a laptop from 2014-2017 with a slow 802.11n card. It breathes new life into older machines like the Dell Latitude 7000 series, HP ProBook 400 series, or Lenovo ThinkPad T400 series (with Half-Mini PCIe slot). For everyday browsing, YouTube, and even light online gaming like Fortnite or Valorant, the Killer 1535 delivers stable 5 GHz connections with low jitter. It's also a great pairing with PTCL, StormFiber, or Nayatel connections that top out at 100-200 Mbps — you'll saturate your line easily. If you have a WiFi 6 router and want max speed, consider the Intel AX200 instead, but for most users, this card offers the best value at Rs. 3,699.
Installation guide
Open the bottom cover. Locate the existing WiFi card — it's a small green PCB in the M.2 E-key slot near the cooling fan. Disconnect the two antenna leads (gently — they're fragile U.FL connectors), unscrew the single mounting screw, and pull the old card out. Insert the new card at 30°, secure with the screw, and snap the antennas back on. Boot Windows and install latest Killer driver. We offer Rs. 1,000 install at the shop. Pair with an SSD upgrade for full system rejuvenation.

Frequently asked questions
Will this card fit my Dell Latitude or HP EliteBook?
Most Dell/HP business laptops from 2017+ accept M.2 2230 E-key cards. Some HP EliteBooks have BIOS whitelists that reject non-Intel cards — we recommend Intel AX200/AX210 for safest compatibility. WhatsApp 0314 4000131 with your model to confirm.
WiFi 5 vs WiFi 6 — what's the difference?
WiFi 5 (802.11ac) covers 2.4 + 5 GHz and offers fast enough speeds for 4K streaming and gaming. WiFi 6 adds OFDMA and higher throughput, but unless you have a WiFi 6 router and heavy usage, WiFi 5 is more than sufficient. This Killer card is the sweet spot for price vs performance in Pakistan.
Do I need to install drivers manually?
Windows 10/11 includes generic drivers, but for full Killer features (like Advanced Stream Detect), download the latest drivers from Killer's website.
Does this card include antennas?
No — the card has two U.FL/MHF4 ports and reuses your laptop's existing internal antennas.
Is this card new or pulled?
Tested pull from a working laptop — bench-tested and confirmed working before resale. 30-day check warranty applies. This is the Killer 1535 WiFi 5 Half-Mini PCIe Laptop WiFi Card — one of the most popular upgrades for older laptops, and at Rs. 3,699 on nnlaptops.com, it's an unbeatable deal in Pakistan.
