How Do I Find the Right Charger for My Laptop?
Read the label on your old charger. Match the voltage and the tip size exactly, then pick the same wattage or higher. A 65W laptop is fine on a 90W charger with the same voltage and tip, but not on a 45W one.

The label on a charger gives everything you need. Look for the line marked OUTPUT, such as 19.5V 3.34A. Multiply volts by amps to get watts, so that example is about 65W. The tip size is printed as two numbers in millimetres, such as 4.5 x 3.0, on our listings where it is known.
If your charger is lost, the sticker under the laptop often gives the input it needs, in the same volts and amps form. You can also send the exact model to us on WhatsApp and we check it before you pay.

Key factors
Voltage
This has to match. The Dell chargers we list are 19.5V and most Lenovo chargers we list are 20V, while HP chargers vary from 18.5V to 19.5V. Always read your own label.
Tip size and shape
The tip has to fit the socket exactly. Our listings give sizes such as 4.5 x 3.0 mm and 7.4 x 5.0 mm, or a name such as USB Pin, MagSafe 2 or USB Type-C.
Wattage
Use the same wattage or higher. The laptop only draws what it needs. A lower wattage can charge slowly, show a warning, or fail to charge at all under load.
The centre pin on HP and Dell round tips
These tips have a thin pin in the middle that tells the laptop what charger is connected. If the pin is bent, the laptop may refuse to charge or run slowly, even though the charger has power.
USB-C laptops
Not every USB-C port can charge a laptop, and not every USB-C charger gives enough power. Check that the port supports charging and use the same wattage as the old charger or higher.
Is the charger really the fault?
If a known good charger does not work either, the fault may be the DC jack inside the laptop, the battery or the board. A new charger will not fix those.
