How Do I Find the Right Battery for My Laptop?
Match the pack code printed on your old battery first, such as HT03XL on an HP 15-DA or A1819 on a MacBook Pro A1706. Then match the voltage. The model name alone is not always enough, because one laptop model can use more than one pack.

A laptop battery is built for one shape, one connector and one voltage. The pack code on the label stands for all three, which is why it is a better guide than the laptop name. The same model can ship with a short or a long pack, or with a smaller or a larger capacity. Our own listings for the Lenovo IdeaPad 300-15ISK show both a short and a long pack.
On older laptops the battery slides out and you can read the label straight away. On most newer laptops it sits inside, so you need to remove the bottom cover to see the label. If you would rather not open the laptop, send the exact model to us on WhatsApp and we check it before you pay.

Key factors
The pack code
This is the short code on the battery label, such as HT03XL or A1819. If the code on a listing matches the code on your old battery, the fit is much more certain.
Voltage
The voltage on the new pack should match the old one. Keep a label photo, because two packs that look alike can have different voltages.
Capacity in Wh or mAh
A higher figure means more running time, but only if the pack has the same code family and shape. A pack that does not fit the bay gives you nothing.
Cell count on older laptops
A 9-cell pack lasts longer than a 6-cell pack on the same laptop, but it is usually bigger and can stick out at the back. Our listings give the cell count where it is stated.
Is the battery really the fault?
On Windows, run powercfg /batteryreport in Command Prompt and compare full charge capacity with design capacity. On a MacBook, open System Information and look under Power. If the laptop dies only on the charger, check the charger and the DC jack first.
