How accurate is the AI condition check?
It is a cosmetic-grade screening tool, not a final quote. The AI vision model can read scratches, dents, dead pixels, keyboard shine, and hinge sag with high confidence — those are the easy 80% of the grade. It cannot read battery health, SSD wear, motherboard issues, or hidden faults like reflowed BGA solder joints. Plan on the AI grade being within ±1 point of our workshop 23-point check for clean laptops, and ±2 points for older / damaged units. Always WhatsApp Sayam at 0314 4000131 to confirm the final price before deciding to sell.
What if the AI gets it wrong?
Tap 'Try different photos' and re-upload — better lighting (natural daylight by a window beats Lahore tube lights every time), closer keyboard shots, and a clean lid wipe usually push the AI confidence up to 80%+. If you still disagree with the grade, WhatsApp the same 4 photos to 0314 4000131 and our shop tech will reply with a manual grade within an hour during shop hours (10am-10pm).
Why does it ask for 4 photos instead of 1?
Each photo answers a different question: the lid for scratches and dents, the screen for cracks and dead pixels, the keyboard for shine and missing letters, the side for hinge wear and port damage. A single top-down shot misses 60% of the grade, especially hinge sag and port wear — the two most expensive issues for a Pakistani buyer. You can submit with fewer photos but the AI confidence drops accordingly.
Is my data safe? What happens to my photos?
Photos are sent to our AI partner (Anthropic Claude) for analysis only and are not stored on our servers. The numerical assessment result — overall grade, area scores, value range — is logged anonymously so we can improve future grading. We never log your name, phone number, or any identifying photo metadata. If you'd like even more privacy, WhatsApp the photos to 0314 4000131 instead and our shop tech will grade them manually without touching the AI flow.
What if my laptop has a hidden internal issue (battery, SSD, motherboard)?
The AI photo check is cosmetic only — it cannot read battery health, SSD wear, RAM faults, or motherboard issues. Bring the laptop to our Hafeez Center workshop and the free 23-point check runs CrystalDiskInfo for SSD health, a battery design-vs-current-capacity report, a RAM stress pass, and a hinge / port physical test. The full check takes about 30 minutes and the final quote is honoured for 7 days.
Does this work for tablets, MacBooks, and Surface devices?
Yes for MacBooks (all generations — Intel, M1, M2, M3, M4) and Microsoft Surface laptops — they wear in similar patterns to standard laptops and the AI is calibrated for both. Tablets (iPad, Galaxy Tab, Surface Pro tablet mode) and Chromebooks work in the tool but the grade is less reliable because the wear patterns differ from standard clamshell laptops. For tablets, we recommend WhatsApping the photos to 0314 4000131 for a manual grade.
Privacy and data handling
Photos are sent to our AI partner (Anthropic) for analysis and are not stored on our servers. We never log your name, phone number, or any identifying photo metadata.
