What this part does
The A-panel is the outer back cover of the screen lid, the side with the logo. It protects the display and houses the Wi-Fi antennas in many models. It is made of plastic, aluminium or magnesium alloy.
Signs you need a new one
- The cover is cracked, dented or bent after a fall.
- The lid looks warped and does not close flush.
- Paint or coating has worn off badly.
- The cover has pulled away from the hinges.
