How Do I Find the Right Screen for My Laptop?
Read the panel code on the back of your old screen, such as NT156FHM-N43. Then match the size, resolution, pin count (usually 30 or 40), connector position and touch or non-touch. Two 15.6-inch screens with the same resolution can still be different parts. They can have a different pin count, a different connector position, a different thickness or different mounting points. A panel that looks right can fail to connect, or sit badly in the lid.
The label on the back of the panel settles most of this, but you need to take off the front bezel to read it. Free tools such as HWiNFO often show the panel name in Windows, without opening anything. If you are not sure, send the exact laptop model and a photo to us on WhatsApp and we check it before you pay.

Key factors
Size
Measure the visible screen corner to corner, or use the size in the laptop model. Common sizes are 13.3, 14, 15.6 and 17.3 inches.
Resolution
Common values are 1366 x 768 (HD) and 1920 x 1080 (Full HD). Newer laptops also use 1920 x 1200. Moving from HD to Full HD works on some laptops and not on others, so ask before you order.
Pin count
Most panels use a 30-pin or a 40-pin connector, and the display cable must match. On the HP 15-DA, for example, we list a 30-pin cable for the non-touch screen and a 40-pin cable for the touch screen.
Connector position and shape
Check where the connector sits on the back of the panel. Listings use words such as short, slim, narrow jack and down plane for these physical differences, so compare them with your old panel.
Touch
A touch panel only replaces a touch panel. The lid and the cable differ, so a non-touch laptop does not become a touch laptop with a new panel alone.
Refresh rate
Gaming laptops can use 120Hz, 144Hz or faster panels. Replace one with the same rate, because a mismatch can give a blank screen or a lower rate.
