Best Laptop for SZABIST Students in Pakistan 2026
SZABIST has campuses in Karachi, Islamabad, Larkana, Hyderabad, Gharo and Dubai. The Karachi campus offers programs across Management Sciences, Media Sciences, Social Sciences, Education, Biosciences, Computer Sciences, Mechatronic Engineering, Robotics and Artificial Intelligence.
That mix means very different laptops. A Media Sciences student editing video needs more RAM and a good screen. A BS Computer Science or Artificial Intelligence student needs a strong CPU and 16GB RAM. A BBA student can happily use an entry-level machine.
Students at SZABIST also come from smaller campuses such as Larkana, Hyderabad and Gharo, where finding a good used laptop locally can be hard. NN Laptops ships by TCS or Leopards from Lahore.

What each program typically needs
Computer Science and Software Engineering
Coding tools, Docker or virtual machines and databases. 16GB RAM and an SSD are the practical standard.
Artificial Intelligence and Robotics
Python data and model-training work, plus simulation tools. A stronger CPU helps; heavy training is usually done on lab or cloud machines, so do not overspend on a gaming GPU.
Mechatronic Engineering
CAD and simulation software together with microcontroller tools. 16GB RAM and a Core i7 are comfortable.
Media Sciences
Video and photo editing needs 16GB RAM and a good display. Check the screen on arrival.
Business and Social Sciences
Excel, statistics tools and presentations. An entry-tier laptop is enough.

RAM and the screen. Video editors use a lot of memory, so choose 16GB. Ask us on WhatsApp for units with a clear display, and test colours and brightness as soon as it arrives.
