Best Laptop for NCA Lahore Students in Pakistan 2026
The National College of Arts (NCA) on Mall Road, Lahore began in the 1870s as the Mayo School of Industrial Arts and took the NCA name in 1958. Its departments include fine arts, design and architecture.
Art and design students use a laptop differently from engineers. You may spend hours in image, vector and layout software, review colours, build portfolios and sometimes do 3D or architectural drawing. The screen, graphics capability and storage space matter more than a high-end processor alone.
NCA is on Mall Road in central Lahore, so you can travel to our Hafeez Center shop, compare screens side by side and see images on them before deciding.

Frequently asked by National College of Arts (NCA), Lahore students
What screen should an NCA design student look for?
An IPS panel at 1920x1080, with good brightness. Avoid cheap TN screens, which shift colours when you tilt them. Visit the shop and view your own sample artwork on the exact laptop.
Do I need a dedicated graphics card for design?
For 2D image and layout work, integrated graphics is usually fine with 16GB RAM. For 3D, animation and architectural rendering, a dedicated graphics chip helps a lot.
Is a MacBook better for art students?
Many like the screen and smooth image and video editing on Apple Silicon. A used MacBook Air M1 costs more than a business ThinkPad. If your studio uses Windows-only architecture software, choose a Windows laptop.
How much storage do I need?
Take at least 512GB. Design files, scans and renders fill 256GB quickly. You can add a portable SSD for archive work.
How do I pay and is there a warranty?
Cash in the shop, or bank transfer, JazzCash and Easypaisa for remote orders. A 30-day check warranty applies. WhatsApp 0314 4000131 for any question.
Is it fine to carry a heavy workstation to campus?
Workstation and gaming-class laptops are heavier than ultrabooks. If you commute on foot or by rickshaw, a lighter laptop with 16GB RAM may be easier to live with. Come and lift the models in the shop.
