Best Laptop for Habib University Students in Pakistan 2026
Habib University in Karachi is a liberal arts and sciences university. It has two schools, the Dhanani School of Science and Engineering, and the School of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences. It offers Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering and Computer Science, along with Social Development and Policy. Every student takes the university's liberal core courses.
The Electrical and Computer Engineering degrees are accredited by the Pakistan Engineering Council, and the Computer Science degree by the National Computing Education Accreditation Council. Programs run four years.
Because of the liberal core, you will write a lot, read a lot of PDFs and present often, alongside lab and coding work. That makes a light laptop with a good keyboard and battery a smart choice, with 16GB RAM for engineering and computing majors.

Frequently asked by Habib University students
Do you deliver to Karachi?
For Habib University, we deliver to Karachi through TCS or Leopards from our Lahore shop. It normally takes about 2-3 working days, depending on the courier. Share your address on WhatsApp 0314 4000131 to confirm.
Do I need a powerful laptop for the liberal core courses?
No. Reading, essays and presentations run well on any reliable laptop with 8GB RAM. The extra power is for engineering and computing majors, so choose by your planned major.
Is a lighter laptop worth paying more for?
If you carry it every day, yes. Business models like the ThinkPad and EliteBook lines are lighter than gaming laptops. Tell us your budget and we will suggest units in stock.
Should I buy a MacBook for engineering?
Not necessary. Some engineering tools run only on Windows, and some are easier on it. A Windows business laptop is the safer default unless you have a specific reason such as iOS development.
What payment methods do you take?
Habib University students ask this a lot. You can pay by bank transfer, JazzCash or Easypaisa, or in cash if you collect from Hafeez Center. There are no installments. Tell us your choice on WhatsApp 0314 4000131 and we will send the details.
